A dedicated group of volunteers spent quite a bit of time over the summer working with ES&M (our environmental testing contractor), Waterfield Design Group, a number of offices and committees at Winchester Town Hall, and our Finance team to move closer to closing on the Cross Street properties which will become the home field complex for the Winchester Soccer Club and Sachems FC, and an exciting new green space for the town of Winchester. I’m pleased to report that the environmental testing of the site is finished, a final site design plan has been completed, construction cost estimates are all in, and we’re currently working with a number of local banks to finalize loan financing for this terrific project.
We’re planning to have mock-up of the final layout on display in a tent on Skillings Field at the WSC Veterans Day Tournament on November 16-18, and will have members of the WCP Committee on hand to answer questions about the project, and provide project updates. In addition, we’ll be hosting a Supper with Soccer Stars fund-raiser on Friday evening November 16th, please watch thewww.Winchestersoccer.net website for ticket info. The event will feature several local soccer superstars including Shalrie Joseph, Matt Reis, and others for kids and adults to meet and there will be opportunities for photo’s, autographs, and door prizes.
