Lot’s of progress to report on. The construction equipment has now moved to the “back lot”, and the removal of the old JO Whitten Factory foundations is almost complete, Heimlich LCC is crushing the old concrete into gravel/crushed stone which will be used as underlayment for the driveway, and parking areas. This re-use of material is not only better for the environment as it reduces the amount of material carted off to landfills, but also helps to keep the club’s costs down. In addition, the entire front lot has been cleared for temporary storage of materials, and it’s clear how much parking will be available on-site. In addition, the area where Connolly Field will be built is mostly cleared, the corners are staked, and the grading for that field is about to begin.
