Happy New Year from WCP!
The lack of snow has been great for Heimlich LCC and the prep work for the rear field has been completed, and the space is ready for the addition of the turf “carpet” for Ryan Connolly Field in the spring. In addition, the fences and screening along the RR tracks and river are being installed. The construction focus has now moved to the other areas of the property, with the front field and field house foundation work starting soon. Overall the sit…e looks great, with the tiers for the three fields all clearly visible. From an environmental perspective, the hide pit area is now capped under 3 feet of soil, gravel, and the fabric barrier, and the contaminated soils have been removed and disposed of. With the new site grades, WCP has created 4 acre feet of additional flood capacity on the property which equates to 174,000 cubic feet, or 1,300,000 gallons of additional flood capacity in the neighborhood.
